Dear Cleveland Ohio USBC members,
USBC National recommends USBC state and local associations postpone or suspend mass gathering
events, meetings, and travel in the best interest of public health. While individual state and
local requirements related to mass gatherings are evolving, USBC recommends associations be
proactive in considering the well-being of their members.
The Cleveland Ohio Board of Directors approved to follow USBC recommendation and to cancel all of
the remaining events for 2020. The decision to cancel was exceedingly difficult and saddening for
everyone on the board. I am proud of our board for coming together on a path that puts the
well-being of our members first and ensures a smooth transfer of leadership and governance
The Cleveland Ohio USBC president for the 2020-2021 season can appoint, with board approval,
delegates, and directors to fill the positions of delegates and directors whose terms expire July
31, 2020. All USBC members at the 2021 annual meeting will be asked to ratify the appointments.
The appointed board members will be selected from the slate of candidates who formed the ballot for
the 2020 election.
All award winners and honorees scheduled to be recognized at the 2020 Cleveland Ohio USBC Annual
Banquet will be invited to the 2021 event. This includes the induction ceremony for the 2020
Cleveland Ohio USBC Hall of Fame Class.
All participant who registered online or through mail for the Seniors Singles Tournament will
receive a full 100% refund. Refund checks will be processed and mailed beginning May 2020.
The Cleveland Ohio USBC Association thank you ALL in supporting us as we thrive for better days and
remember that we are all in this together.
